“I’ll tell you what freedom is to me: no fear.”
Nina Simone
This phrase encapsulates the spirit of Kneecap, the boundary-pushing hip-hop trio from Belfast, who are coming to Greece for one exclusive appearance on June 20 at Rockwave Festival, at Terra Vibe Park. For Kneecap, music is not simply entertainment; it is a weapon for justice, for truth, for awakening consciousness. They turn their art into the voice of those who fight against oppression, injustice, and inequality in every corner of the planet.
The most revolutionary hip-hop group in Europe returns.
Last year they took Rockwave Festival by storm, in what was described by much of the press and the audience as the top live moment of the summer.
This year, Kneecap arrive with a new album that proves beyond doubt they are not just a band — they are a phenomenon.
One of the most explosive and politically charged acts of our time, the trio of Móglaí Bap, Mo Chara and DJ Próvaí have transformed hip-hop into a vehicle for cultural awakening and social resistance. Rapping in Irish and English, they assert a people’s right to their language and identity, bringing the concept of self-determination back to the forefront.
As they themselves declare:
“Every word spoken in Irish is a bullet fired for Irish freedom.”
Their music is raw and explosive.
Hip-hop with punk intensity.
Beats that hit you in the chest.
Rhymes and positions that do not fear confrontation with power.
They place the concept of global justice at the core of their existence. In their lyrics they attack political hypocrisy, social inequality and every form of oppression, speaking openly about the issues that plague humanity — from political decisions to cultural silencing and social exclusion.
Their hip-hop is a way of life.
After an unbelievable run of peak moments in 2025 — with their autobiographical film winning awards at BAFTA and Sundance, Fine Art receiving rave reviews, appearances at major festivals such as Coachella and Glastonbury, and the year closing with two sold-out nights in front of 24,000 Fenians at Dublin’s 3Arena — Kneecap enter 2026 stronger than ever.
2026 began with a tour in Japan, and continues with their biggest headline show to date at London’s Crystal Palace Park, along with multiple headline festival appearances.
New single and album
In late January, Kneecap returned with the furious single “Liars Tale,” a punk-rave outburst that directly targets the British political establishment and previews their new album FENIAN, released on April 24 via Heavenly Recordings.

FENIAN is an explosive blend of hip-hop, rave, punk, acid house and trip-hop. From defending the Irish language in Éire go Deo to the international solidarity of Palestine (feat. Fawzi), the album sends a clear message: art can and must be a force for change.
The title FENIAN carries historical and symbolic weight — from the mythical warriors of Fionn mac Cumhaill to the Irish revolutionaries of independence and a modern, global “brotherhood” of sound. Kneecap transform this legacy into a contemporary sonic identity that unites myth, history and social reality.
Pressure creates diamonds — and FENIAN shines with Kneecap’s uncut ones. Despite headlines, political pressure, court appearances and constant international exposure, Kneecap do what they do best: create tracks that bring thousands of people together to tear it all down.
Overwhelming on stage
Anyone who has seen them live knows:
Kneecap don’t give concerts — they create intensity.
From Glastonbury to sold-out tours across the US, Ireland and the UK, their shows become collective experiences of sweat and release.
Mosh pits, chants, humor, chaos and unity.
Their appearance at last year’s Rockwave left the crowd ecstatic.
As was written:
“Kneecap proved worthy of their reputation… — even if we didn’t understand their words in Irish. From the first minute to the last, the hip-hop / punk / rave onslaught never stopped.”
Saturday, June 20, 2026 – Return to Greece
Their return is not just another stop on the tour. It’s a rendezvous.
A night of burning rhymes.
Of beats that shake the ground.
A commitment between a band that is not afraid to take a stand
and an audience that actively aligns with it.
Kneecap don’t just rap — they build a movement.
We’re that bullet, son.
June 20 will be a night of extreme energy and absolute musical truth.
Don’t miss it.
Get ready for a storm.
Get ready for Kneecap.
